UFPIA Youth & Education Initiatives

Our purpose is to organize and sponsor events for children in our community, often in partnership with General Wolfe Elementary School (which is centrally located within our community.)

Annual Activities
Halloween
Activities have included Haunted House, Haunted Garden, Trick or Treating, and the ever popular Pumpkin Carving.

Teacher Wishlist Project 
Teachers always pay for many classroom supplies out of their own pocket, this is our effort to help out as a community.  Culminates with a great party in early January for participating neighbors and staff from General Wolfe. This is a way that community members can assist the teachers and staff at General Wolfe Elementary and assist them in purchasing supplies for the second half of the school year. Please contact Barbara Moore at 410-276-0543 for more information. The coffee shop - Wydeye at 1704 Aliceanna Street has a box on the counter for donations to General Wolfe for art supplies. Their number is 410-342-7474. 

Other events we have sponsored:
Clean Sweep: 8 week kid's neighborhood clean-up project
Cooking Classes: 8 weeks on Saturday mornings
Garden Club: 5 month project General Wolfe 3rd & 4th graders
Art in the Lobby: General Wolfe students create art that hangs in the lobby of Fells Point Corner Theatre in December during their holiday production, complete with opening reception for students.
